Lead Dog Brewing Co.
One of the newest additions to Reno’s local, booming, craft brewery scene! They’ve got 13 taps serving their beer brewed on sight, a large variety including fruity blondes, stouts with creative flavors, and different styles of IPAs, including their Mositra, which they consider to be their flagship. They also always have a couple of ciders on draft and suggestions for mixing beers, such as apple cider and hazelnut stout! The environment is relaxed and friendly to humans and dogs alike, if you’re lucky you might even meet Roxy, the Lead Dog herself.
The year we became a state of the union! These guys are passionate about Nevada and are celebrating daily by serving regional craft beers and wines, and cocktails made with fresh, local ingredients. The decor is classy yet laid back with vintage couches and armchairs and velvet wallpaper!
Craft Wine & Beer
A huge selection of wine, beer, spirits, sake, cider, and soda! Knowing what goes in your body and where it comes from is important! Even when it comes to “adult beverages”. ; ) With a focus on small businesses with talented crafters you won’t find a fail at Craft!
We lovingly call the Foxy Olive our “dive bar” stop, it’s a small, unassuming bar where you will see a lot of locals and always a rad bartender! They offer up a full service bar, great conversation, and art by local artists featured on the walls.
40 taps of consistently rotating American craft beers! This is one of the best places in Reno to learn more about your beer taste buds! They also have a selection of delicious wines and cocktails. If you’re not sure where to point your Brew Bike, this is the perfect place to start, have a drink, and make a game plan. Speaking of games; they’ve got shuffleboard, billiards, and arcade games. If you’re not quite sold, Mellow Fellow also offers a unique menu of local sausages, sandwiches, and tasty snacks.
With their finger firmly on the pulse of the local and national craft beer scene they’ve got many awards to show for their brews, including 3 medals from the 2016 Best of Craft Beer Awards! Imbib is such a fun stop it’s always hard to leave. There are no walls between the brewery and the serving room so you’ve got a front row seat while you chat with some of the most chill brewers, play giant Jenga, mini Ring on a String, and other classic bar games!
This might be the stop option on our tours that best fits the description “something for everyone”, Imperial has a full bar, a good selection on draft featuring local brews, a hoppin’ vibe, or plenty of space for a more chill environment. They’ve got pool tables and plenty of flat screen TV’s (not loud and overwhelming, you can still hear the great tunes, but enough to keep up on the current games). Have we mentioned the food!? Appetizers, salads, burgers, pizza, and some truly great happy hour deals!
If you’ve always wished for a wall decorated in green ties, The Jungle has your name on it! If that’s not your aesthetic, direct your gaze to 1st St. where the people watching is primo. Moving on from visual perks to more important, enticing things; the drinks! They are serving up some delicious, creative, craft cocktails and several rotating drafts. Satisfying and affordable culinary treats are also available 8am to 9pm!
Liberty Food & Wine Exchange
An artisan eatery and wine bar by Reno’s celebrity chef, Mark Estee. Liberty serves a fine dining menu unifying international and local cuisine. You can create a custom blend at their wine mixing station! Their mini market with house cured meats, house made breads, pastas, and gelato offers perfect grab and go items for the Brew Bike! If your group consists of wine connoisseurs this is a great choice, their knowledge is truly impressive.
Less of a college bar and more of a professor bar, with a dark, cozy environment. They’ve got 30 rotating drafts and a selection of 60 bottles featuring many local breweries. One of their greatest draws is a gorgeous, lit, enclosed, and heated patio! Becoming a member of their Mug Club and John Wilkes Booth Shot Club are some super fun ways to earn a free t-shirt!
Ole Bridge Pub
Ole Bridge is one of our most popular stops and provides a great scene! Host to 17 rotating and unique drafts, a lot of bottle options, and tasty cocktails so they’ve got everyone’s tastes covered. Perhaps they’re most appealing attribute is a large patio with a gorgeous view of the Truckee River!
Our Bar wants you to know you’re invited! They strive to create a welcoming environment for all, to enjoy their beverages and food. A great stop for a snack to provide the energy to complete your ride (or scarf a meal afterwards!). It’s usually quite populated and offers additional entertainment in the form of a billiard table and dart board!
Pigeon Head Brewery
A most interesting mascot… and it works so well! It’s a super cozy, laid back brewery featuring Cards Against Humanity and other silly ways to sip some time away. We recommend a flight of their staples to get you started! You’ll find knowledgeable bartenders and a behind the scenes view of their brewing process.
Pignic Pub & Patio
Bringing the BYOBBQ (bring your own barbeque) concept to Reno! Cook up one of your specialties on one of their grills to share with your crew! They host frequent performances that lead to upbeat gatherings in the midweek. Set up in a home built in 1926, Pignic has an individual parlor appeal. Featuring a large, covered patio and an enviable fire pit for cooler evenings, it feels like you’ve arrived at a house party that is stocked with fine brews and wines and talented bartenders making up craft cocktails.
Pinon Bottle Co.
Come to discover Reno’s Beer Library! They fill growlers and serve flights, sell 6 packs and bombers, offer 36 taps and hundreds of bottles and cans. High fiving bartenders with award winning smiles will guide you through tap takeovers, mystery tap night, beer tasting classes, and brewing discussions.
One of midtown’s exciting new additions! The Saint serves primarily as a tap house for Brasserie St. James, in addition to their own award winning beers they also have rotating local and import drafts. Some of the brewing magic is happening behind the scenes, where Brasserie barrel aged brews are picking up their delicious flavors! Last but not least, they are a music and dance hall, bringing in some super fun shows! They’ve also got a nice hidden patio.
Sierra Tap House
Operating for more than 10 years, this was one of the first Riverwalk bars in Reno. Located right on the river and directly across from Wingfield Park, their patio provides a comfortable place to watch, listen, and enjoy! They have developed a great relationship with one the best, Sierra Nevada Brewery in Chico, CA, and serve a rotating selection of 12 of their brews on draft and even more in bottles. The Tap House is very popular with locals and visitors alike, with ample seating and attentive bartenders to keep everyone happy! A billiard table and a few arcade games round out their offerings.
Don’t let game day interfere with your Brew Bike ride; with 24 HD TV’s you wont miss a beat! This is a very classy, comfortable, local sports bar. They are bilevel and their seating arrangement accommodates their usually large crowd. This is a great stop for early midweek rides, or any ride! It’s an excellent place for local beers, spirits, and shots!
Under the Rose
A selection of awesome beers ranging from IPA’s, to Berliner, to Barleywine, made right on the spot! They also always have a handcrafted soda on draft. With bocce ball, giant jenga, ping pong, foosball, and mini shuffleboard it feels like you are hanging out in your buddy’s garage! Who just happens to be an excellent brewer. ; )
Reno Public House
Serving the community with a draft selection focused on “keeping it interesting” in a dark brick building with a stark white tile backsplash and ambiance supplied by Edison lights. Many bottles, wines, and cocktails are also available. You will find Public House an energetic, inclusive joint. If Reno Midtown is your jam, this stop is a must!
